BIM Manager

Job Purpose:

• Develop, manage, and deliver Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes and models across the project lifecycle.
• Enable effective digital integration of site survey, setting out, infrastructure, and utility works.
• Support accurate construction execution and the generation of as-built record models and drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the Project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) in alignment with project and client requirements.
• Establish BIM standards, workflows, and protocols in compliance with ISO 19650 and Dubai Municipality / RTA BIM requirements.
• Ensure BIM integration across design, construction, and handover phases.
• Oversee federated BIM models across Civil, Structural, MEP, Rail Systems, and Utilities disciplines.
• Manage Point Layout BIM Models to support site activities.
• Integrate BIM with site survey data, including point clouds and GIS data.
• Support site verification, digital terrain modelling, and setting out using BIM-driven coordinates and layouts.
• Manage BIM coordination for infrastructure works, utility diversions, and installations.
• Perform clash detection and resolution using BIM tools.
• Support construction sequencing (4D) and quantity take-offs (5D), where applicable.
• Oversee conversion of construction data into accurate as-built BIM models.
• Ensure record drawings are generated from validated BIM data.
• Manage BIM data within Common Data Environments such as Aconex and BIM 360.
• Ensure version control, model validation, audit trails, and BIM documentation are maintained.
• Lead and manage BIM coordinators and modelers.
• Coordinate with design, construction, survey, and subcontractor teams.
• Conduct BIM coordination meetings and workshops.
• Support BIM audits and regulatory reviews.
• Perform model audits and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Provide training and guidance on BIM tools and workflows.
• Promote digital construction practices and support advanced BIM applications such as digital twins.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a relevant discipline.
• 10–15 years of experience in BIM management for large infrastructure or rail projects.
• UAE or Dubai project experience is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

• ISO 19650 and BS/PAS BIM standards.
• Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Bentley OpenRail, MicroStation, BIM 360 / ACC, and Aconex.
• 3D, 4D, and 5D BIM applications.
• Point cloud processing, laser scanning integration, clash detection, and coordination.
• Infrastructure and utility modelling, survey data integration, and geospatial coordination.
