BIM Technician - Electrical

Role Overview:

• Provide CAD and BIM support to engineering projects as part of the WSP Services Team.
• Produce MEP Revit models, detailed engineering designs, and construction drawings.
• Work across multiple projects while reporting functionally to the BIM Lead and operationally to the line manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare MEP 3D Revit models in LOD 350/400.
• Coordinate models with other MEP services and Architectural, Civil, and Structural models.
• Perform clash detection and clash resolution.
• Produce 2D drawings.
• Support design teams with analysis and design models.
• Support design and bid teams with 3D visualisations, 4D models, and renderings.
• Prepare quantities for bills of quantities from 3D models.
• Manage model versions, data exchange, and issue tracking within a Common Data Environment such as BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).

Required Skills:

• Revit.
• AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
• Civil 3D.
• Navisworks.
• Dynamo scripting.
• Knowledge of electrical systems in MEP.
• Recap.
• Photoshop.
• Good working knowledge of BIM software packages and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering is preferred in addition to drafting qualifications.
• 4+ years of production experience in design, drafting, and engineering, with significant experience in a similar role or a strong track record.
• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to plan and manage workload and work closely with senior colleagues.
• Valid passport and willingness to be seconded for up to three months as projects require.
• Lateral thinking and knowledge of other MEP services.
