Electrical Design Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW

DAS & Partners Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support electrical design and multidisciplinary project delivery across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah, UAE. The role involves electrical systems design, authority approvals, and coordination with engineering teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform electrical design from concept through detailed design and execution, complying with TAQA/DEWA regulations and applicable building codes.
• Obtain necessary No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from local authorities.
• Develop concept designs for data and telephone systems and obtain design NOCs from du/Etisalat.
• Coordinate with design teams to secure ADCD approvals for fire alarm, voice evacuation, and emergency lighting systems.
• Prepare low-current system designs according to project and client requirements.
• Coordinate electrical systems with structural, mechanical, and architectural teams.
• Prepare and present electrical design proposals, incorporating client feedback and revisions.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and calculation reports.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, environmental regulations, and sustainability requirements.
• Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Abu Dhabi.
• Relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Equivalency Certificate (Mandatory).
• ADDC/TAQA Engineer Card (Mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of electrical design and local authority requirements.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
