Mechanical Design Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW

DAS & Partners Engineering is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to manage mechanical design processes for projects across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. The role involves multidisciplinary coordination and delivery of efficient, sustainable, and high-quality mechanical engineering solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform mechanical design for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting/fire protection systems from concept through detailed design and execution.
• Prepare load calculations, equipment selection, and mechanical system sizing.
• Coordinate with structural, electrical, and architectural teams to ensure proper integration of mechanical systems.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and calculation reports for construction teams and contractors.
• Present mechanical design proposals and incorporate client feedback and revisions.
• Ensure compliance with local authority codes, environmental regulations, and sustainability requirements.
• Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar design software.
• Understanding of UAE local authority codes and regulations.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
