MEP - BIM Coordinator

About the Role:

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary BIM coordination activities across Architectural, Civil, Structural, MEP, QS, and Project teams.
• Coordinate BIM models, construction drawings, design coordination, construction-stage deliverables, and as-built requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and coordinate BIM models and construction drawings for design accuracy, constructability, and coordination.
• Perform clash detection, clash analysis, and resolution using Navisworks Manage.
• Manage and review BIM models up to LOD 500, including construction-stage and as-built requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain BIM Execution Plans, BIM standards, modelling procedures, and QA/QC workflows.
• Review model quality, naming conventions, model revisions, drawing outputs, and BIM documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, QS, project managers, contractors, and site engineers.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings, prepare clash and coordination reports, and monitor action closure.
• Review shop drawings, coordinated drawings, model outputs, and construction documentation.
• Ensure proper model federation, version control, data management, and coordination workflows.
• Support preparation and validation of LOD 400 and LOD 500 deliverables and as-built BIM models.
• Guide and mentor BIM engineers and modelers.
• Identify design conflicts early and coordinate with relevant departments to minimize rework and site issues.
• Maintain communication between design, engineering, BIM, and construction teams.

Required Technical Skills:

• Autodesk Revit.
• Navisworks.
• AutoCAD.
• BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Knowledge of LOD 300, LOD 400, and LOD 500 workflows.
• Understanding of Architectural, Civil, Structural, and MEP drawings and construction methodology.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM standards is an added advantage.

Candidate Profile:

• 10+ years of experience in construction, engineering consultancy, or BIM coordination.
• Strong hands-on experience in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary construction projects.
• Experience in a Lead BIM Coordinator, BIM Lead, or Senior BIM Coordinator role.
• Ability to independently lead BIM activities and coordinate multiple teams.
• Strong communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in large-scale residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.

Education:

• B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
